So you want the president to force a government shut down instead of trying to facilitate a solution? It is definitely good that you are not in charge.

Good Lord, man! Grow a pair! Stand up to those thugs and call their hand. MAKE them shut down the government if that's what it takes! Right now, this nation DEMANDS leadership and you're just not offering it.

Don't wimp out on us again. We didn't elect you to kiss the GOP's hind-end, but to LEAD!

Whadda ya think? Will it do any good?

Naw, it won't.
Interesting use of the term "hind-end." Isn't it the administration that stated that Obama prefers to lead from behind?

Hope all these staunch Repubs on the forum are all millionaires because from the way the GOP are talking when they eventually get back in power it sounds like they are going to slash and burn all manner of government spending including much in the way of social programs and social safety nets.
Whats that old saying?Be careful what you wish for as you might get it..

You can't negotiate with ideologues. Congress has the responsibility to create legislation...that will pass. They have not done that. If they don't, then the financial depression that will result is on their head.

Some of us put the effort into our lives so that we don't need government safety nets.

That was the Democratic plan all along. They did not want a budget or plan because they did not want the country to know how much they wanted to spend.

The reason the prez is so pi$$ed and keeps making public appearances to spread his lies, is because he knows if the Republicans continue to hold their ground, he has no choice but to cave in before default.
He knowes he is fighting a losing battle and is not happy about it.
I'm sure a good game of golf will raise his spirits until the next vacation...

Well then next time make sure you vote for a proven leader with some experience, not a freshman from Congress who voted "present" most of the time.
