You just think it is the GOP holding things up, why????...

Obama’s ties to Alinsky should not be overlooked because Alinsky literally wrote the community organizer/Obama playbook, Rules For Radicals. Understanding the tactics laid out in Rules For Radicals grants keen insight into the liberal talking points and Obama’s strategy to get what he wants on the debt ceiling.

Alinsky Tactic Rule 13: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

The phrase “Millionaire’s and Billionaire’s” targets the extremely rich hoping to play on regular American’s disdain for the extravagantly rich, think Paris Hilton, but the proposed tax increases would have a far greater impact on middle class families and small business owners who have receipts of $250,000 or more and the people that they employ.
A hardworking small business owner with receipts of $250,000 makes a far worse target than a Wall Street banker so the liberal talking points freeze the focus on Wall Street. They personalize their talking point by contrasting a generally unpleasant common experience (commercial air travel) against the perceived luxury of travel a corporate jet.
Now that the target has been picked, frozen, and personalized, now it’s time for the polarization – class warfare.

Also...notice how many times he uses the phrase "Corporate Jet Owners"? It's class warfare.

Obama wants to take the resources of the middle class NOT so that the government can distribute that wealth to the poor but to give it to the corrupt special interests who funded his campaign with a billion dollars. The only fair way to interpret the liberals “shared sacrifice” is that you sacrifice and then they share your sacrifice with their benefactors.

Here are some snippets from the book at the link - play along and see how many you can identify whenever you see Obama.

The actual rules are in Section 7.

Rules for Radicals

"A Marxist begins with his prime truth that all evils are caused by the exploitation of the proletariat by the capitalists. From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism." p.10

"An organizer working in and for an open society is in an ideological dilemma to begin with, he does not have a fixed truth -- truth to him is relative and changing; everything to him is relative and changing.... To the extent that he is free from the shackles of dogma, he can respond to the realities of the widely different situations...." pp.10-11

Absolutely. Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," with its homage to the first radical ever, "Lucifer" was apparently listed as recommended reading on his Organizing for America highschool student recruiting form.

» Obama Recruiting Radicals in High Schools - Big Government

"Barack Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America (OFA), formerly Obama For America, is recruiting in our high schools to “build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda” – that is, his agenda of socialism for the United States of America."

"the form carries a recommended reading list, including Rules for Radicals by the notorious hard left community organizer and Obama mentor Saul Alinsky..."

Ronald Reagan did exactly that with his targets being "student radicals" as governor and "welfare queens" as president.

George Wallace did that with blacks as his target.

Jacob Javits did that with the South and Southern whites as his target.

Alinsky's book is a good guide to organizing political movements of any type.

Note that Alinsky despised the Great Society and LBJ as he thought that federal antipoverty programs would be used to end unions and the organizing of the working classes, and would only result in more government spying.

Obama is pretty much using Bush's playbook.

I guess that means Bush was a radical.

Your right? and people still think this guy does not have a agenda, or excuse me this President. Yes he does, most can see it now, and some are blind to the fact. He is the most radical PRESIDENT, inspite of what some try and spin. They can spin it anyway they want, This President, in my opinion is not trustworthy. I am not the only one, i have very stern past democratic friends, who have now changed their tune, and why because of Obama. They will not be voting for him next time around.
I never trusted him from day one, and many friends i have felt the same way, and now even more, they do not trust in him.

More radical than Jefferson, Jackson, Lincoln, McKinley, Roosevelt T and Roosevelt F, or Johnson, not by a country mile. Get a grip!

Can't get more radical than a revolutionary. Or how about a President who engages in civil war with half the nation.

Oh wait, Obamacare aka Romney care is more radical than any of those things. Let's not forget PBS.
