Well the top 10% now control 56% of the wealth, that means 90% get to fight over 44% of the wealth. In any normal country the people would be in the streets.

Yeah, see, people making far less than that - those 99%! - can't do that. They may able to afford rent, maybe some consumer electronics (which are nice and cheap due to labor exploitation overseas), have a crappy car that they can barely afford to fix, can't save a penny for retirement and can easily go bankrupt if they get sick because their health insurance (if they have any) sucks!

It's super duper that you are so responsible with your money, not spending it on lavish vacations or corporate jet timeshares. But see, if you wanted to live irresponsibly and high on the hog, you have that option. $250k buys a lot of nice vacations if you don't want to put money in your 401k. Others don't have that option.
LOL...people making under $250,000 take vacations, eat out,pay mortgages,etc,etc....and do have health insurance as well if they so choose.

I LOVE people with class envy, they are such a hoot with their jealousy of others.

Like some others here, I watch this fearing my financial well being. If tax breaks are repealed, the higher earning (affected) clients spend less, business slows but my obligations remain (various insurance, rent, phones, vehicles, equipment, maintenance.). Salary has to be adjusted down but other household costs continue rising (taxes, HO insurance, phone, cable, health insurance, heating oil, etc.)

If repealing the tax breaks doesn't impact us as dips have in the past, we run the risk of having profits added into our income, bumping us into a category which could hurt.

I feel like we're on a teeter totter.

I get it, and it sucks, but those tax breaks were never intended to be permanent and they helped create quite an economic mess.

I think we can all assume that Driller has no intention of joining the clean-up crew.

In turn, the slowdown would also ripple through our economy, potentially leading to even higher unemployment numbers and lower tax revenue. I cannot fathom why you think this is a good move.
Because our society is not sustainable.

So? Stop your babbling and do something about situation or be happy with what you have.

THis whole jealous, take from those whom have more, attitude is really sickening. Everyone is different and everyone lives a different lifestyle with good and bad....we all have to deal with it. Get used to the idea that this country will never allow a socialist idiot like Obama to change who and what we are. People thinking so need to take off the rose tinted glasses and stop standing on the street with their hands out and learn to take the risks and work for what they want and need.

Already addressed multiple times.

Yeah, the people making $249,999 do. Keep scaling it back and see what happens.

I LOVE people who make dumb assumptions about the motivations of others on the internet.

I'm fully in support of giving back my tax breaks if it means being able to pay for essential government services. I don't need that money if it means the local river is polluted, the entire gulf dies, and forest/brush fires around the country are left to burn with wholly inadequate fire teams to combat them (and these are just the beginnings of what's going on without a fully funded government).

Here. Seriously. Take it back. Take back my tax credit, BPs tax breaks, Goldman's parachute tax, and all of it. Return to a sustainable tax structure.

Again with the assumptions. I know right-wingers care nothing for anyone but themselves but there exists an animal called people concerned about the plight of those less fortunate (outside of church where I can score points with "God").

I have to laugh whenever I hear Republicans ranting that Barack Obama is a “liberal” or a “socialist” or a communist. Are you kidding me? Obama is Bush 44. He’s a bit more like the old man than the younger one. But look at who’s still running the economy: Bernanke. Geithner. Summers. Goldman Sachs. J.P. Morgan Chase. We’ve had the same establishment in charge since at least 1987, when Paul Volcker stood down as Fed chairman. Change? What “change”? (And even the little we had was too much for Wall Street, which bought itself a new, more compliant Congress in 2010.)

Yet you aren't giving it back...

LOL.....

Drilller1 does what the IRS wants.

We are not taxed on what we make.

We are taxed on what we KEEP.

We system is set up to keep the money moving.

Now, that also can be saving because the bank then rents the money to others and puts it back in the system.

Really think about this......
