Wow that was hard to watch without feeling anxious for the lady. Sheesh my five year old nephew has better language skills. Speaks volumes for the people who elected her. They had to listen to all her speeches and still wanted to vote for her. I wonder if it was just a fluke, maybe she was upset by something else or tired that made her revert back into what I like to call barrio vernacular. I get that way when after drinking a lot at family functions. Hell maybe she had a few to many at lunch.
Who gives a damn about who she was running against?
You state that Obama would likely not have been elected if he spoke like this. Do you also believe that she sounds like an inarticulate imbecile?
I don't care about how she sounds...that's my point. My representative is Gabrielle Giffords. And if she says something that i have a problem with, i'll take it up with her.
The only people that Corrine Brown needs to worry about are her constituents...period, point blank. I don't live in her district, and i don't give a damn about how she talks.

That's all well and good ... except ... there are 435 members of the House of Representatives .... and each one may be elected by their "district", but we as Americans pay for it ... both literally, and figuratively.
So yes, we should all be concerned with who makes up that body because they make the laws all of us have to live with.
