Kind of disputes that left wing lie that GOP members all walk in lock step..

Good.. I hope they have to tighten the strings even further just to get the bill out of the House, then we can watch the Democrats moan and groan about how many people will starve to death and how many old people will be kicked out in the streets..

Can never tire of hearing liberal hogwash..

Looks like Boehner is all hat and no cattle. It is like I was saying to Sanrene when the budget passed a few months ago. Boehner has essentially lost if he needs to go to House Democrats every time he wishes to pass a viable bill.

The tax and spend liberals vs. the no tax and spend conservatives vs. the no tax and no spend Tea Party.

Shame the only true solution to get rid of the debt are the

the tax and no spend party.

The Republican party has created a monster with the Tea Party movement. It is like trying to ride a tiger...eventually you end up in his stomach. They have no way to control the lunatic fringe.

Indeed. Boehner's plan, which Senator Reid and Preisdent Obama happily agreed too, would reduce the future growth of spending by $1.2 trillion over a 10 year period, with only a measly $24 billion being reduced next fiscal year. Boehner and the Democrats call it a "cut" in spending, but in reality it is just a reduction in the rate of growth and not a cut at all.

The Democrats played this same exact game in 1995 when Newt Gingrich reduced the rate of growth for MediCare/MedicAid from increasing every year by 12.5% to increasing every year by 6.5%. The Democrats called that a "cut" as well. They are obviously too stupid to know the difference between a reduction in the rate of growth and an actual cut in spending.

Boehner has to go in 2012, the GOP cannot afford him as Speaker of the House if they want to actually gain seats.

Well there is your compromise. Moderate Republicans are going to have to compromise with the Dems because the lunatic fringe is compromising with no one.
