You have to wonder about those that aren't looking to "Cut, Cap, and Balance".

They must be lunatics or something.

No, I think the Dems not passing a budget for nearly THREE YEARS IS! Reid, Pelossi, and all the other clowns chose to pass Obama's hell'thcare -- waiting instead to lay the blame on the Republicans, just a few months after they gained control of the house. The blind leading the blind.

- I think lunacy is to not blame both sides equally for this mess.
- I think anyone that labels those who FINALLY GET IT as babarbaric lunatics is the lunatic.
- I think anyone who really cares about this country should drop the party line (and lies) and bite the bullet
- I think we've all be duped into believing politicians from either side giving a snit about the common good has been one of the greatest scams in the history of the world.
- I think the truth is that Republicans have cared more about BIG BUSINESS than little citizens, while Democrats have cared more for holding hostage anyone with a full wallet! They'll pick your pockets just to pay for votes. Both sides are equally pandering at either end of the scale and EVEYONE in the middle are fair game to scam and manipulate.

- Most of all... I think Obama reminds me of Nero more than any other President I can think of. Shhhhh... I can hear him playing his violin now! Is he laughing? I think he's laughing!

Is anyone supposed to know who Cloward and Piven are? Is that a Country and Western Group?

LOL I wasn't even going to bother and look them up. Well, if anything passes that has big cuts or big revenue generators...there's no way the lawmakers will be able to understand the ramifications or make a decent decision in a couple of days.

I'm actually curious about what will happen if a drastic spending cuts bill passes. Currently my biggest "PITA" taxes are local property taxes. With less money from the feds, I guess I can look forward to an increase...grrr

I do have a problem paying for deductions for people with children, public schools and S-chip...not to mention unemployment extensions and SS and medicare for people who never paid into the system. But I think ppl may get hurt if those are cut. Can anyone summarize what's being proposed to be cut in the latest "cutting not 'taxing'" bill?

Increasing revenue and cutting expenses are the two-pronged attack that anybody, any corporation, any government has to use to deal with debt. I think, actually, that most conservatives do understand that, and I'm flummoxed by the idea that so many want to implement a one-pronged attack on a problem which is so immense. Going at it from both ends simply makes more sense.

Screw S&P. When did they get to dictate our spending policy. The banksters are the ones that got us into this mess. They gave junk bonds AAA ratings.
