Just 17% of Likely U.S. Voters now say the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey taken the week ending Sunday, July 24. That finding is the lowest measured since January 11, 2009.
I don't doubt it. The GOP has a fetish for the deficit, when the American public want the focus to be on jobs. We have a 9.2% unemployment rate and the GOP House thought that spending time on light bulbs was a good idea.

Of course, the best way to create jobs is to borrow money from China in order to create government jobs.
When interest rates are as low as they are, right now is perfect to borrow and invest in updating our infrastructure.
OK. So we create make-work jobs that have no demand and offer no return, pay the unemployed, and then when we are done "updating our infrastructure," where do the unemployed go?

Just for fun and giggles....
When was the last time the dems passed a budget....would we be in this situation?
I agree we are headed in the wrong direction, the government should be hiring the unemployed for massive public works project like a transcontinental high speed rail line, fixing the roads and bvridges before they fall down, providing health care for all. I agree the government is headed toward making America a third world nation where the rich, who already control 56% of the wealth can buy the Supreme Court and whatever Governors they need to return us to the good old robber baron days
Just because someone asks "do you think America is headed in the wrong direction?" doesn't mean his/her right direction is yours
