However, he assured Republicans that no one on that bipartisan committee would be a supporter of tax revenue increases, so calling it a bipartisan committee is actually deceiving.

I agree, if the Tea Party was serious about really cutting the deficit and our country's debt, they'd understand we are so deep, we have to have a balanced approach using all our tools including tax revenue increases.

Oh Dear! Does this mean that The Orange One told a lie?

He's a Republican fer christssake. Of course he's going to lie! He's doing whatever he can to regain control of those brainless teabagging hicks who have no idea what will happen if the debt limit isn't raised. The Orange One knows but can't beat it through the thick skulls of those dimwits who were elected last year!

You know if Democrats were saying

"I want no spending cuts, only tax increases", then Republicans would make more sense.

Instead the President offered 3 dollars of spending cuts to 1 dollar of revenue increase by removing loopholes (not 1 tax increase mind you).

Doesn't pan out.

Obama even went further to go against his party and say he'd even be willing to cut entitlement programs if tax revenue were to be increased, but the tea party republicans never learned the word compromise.
