A jury will decide the fate of a woman ticketed for dangling the family jewels from the trailer hitch of her truck.

The case has many in the small town of Bonneau questioning the issue and the relevance of freedom of speech in the debate.
Ornaments below the bumper cause outrage

Is this a violation of free speech? Or should it be a crime to dangle "truck nuts" from your vehicle?

It's a matter for each state to decide, of course, but I'm glad that it's legal in California.

Extremely tacky imo, but no they should not be illegal.

I've seen several cars with these things. I think they're tacky and gross, but I am for freedom, and against tyranny for the sake of not offending someone.

I love freedom, so I'll say no.
But these are pretty trashy, lmao

But there shouldn't be a law against being trashy. We just don't have to be your friend :P

I don't think it should be illegal but apparently it technically is... but then I don't think a lot of things should be illegal but they are... Is it a matter of "free speech"? It is debatable, it seems speech tends to evolve over time... the government however doesn't like it to evolve...

Poor taste and a show of low class - no doubt.

Illegal? Not so much.

Now, can I get some boob implants for my truck?

First time I ever saw them hanging from a truck hitch I laughed out loud.

It was one of those "monster type" dirt lovin' trucks with a suspension kit.

A "muscle" truck like that needed the knutz to complete the look.

Totally tongue-in-cheek - Funniest thing I ever saw on a truck next to the fake eyelashes I once saw on a VW Bug Convertible.

I think they're classless and tacky and a little offensive (in the way cursing in public in mixed company is offensive, for example).

But it seems unwarranted and excessive for a state government to go to the hassle (and expense!) of illegalizing these.

I had the same reaction when I first saw them. I loved it. I soon ordered a pair of my own, but never got around to putting them on my Hummer. It got enough attention on its own.

Seeing a pair of giant blue plastic knutz swingin' on a truck hitch didn't offend me in the least.

Some people have a different sense of humor I guess. Mine is kinda cheeky sometimes.

Blue Bawlz... lmao.
