Mr. President:

When, oh when, will you take the Republican's at their word and understand they have no interest in helping you govern this nation or compromising for the common good? How many times do they have to say their goal is to destroy your presidency and keep you from being re-elected before you believe them?

Good Lord, man! Grow a pair! Stand up to those thugs and call their hand. MAKE them shut down the government if that's what it takes! Right now, this nation DEMANDS leadership and you're just not offering it.

Don't wimp out on us again. We didn't elect you to kiss the GOP's hind-end, but to LEAD!

Whadda ya think? Will it do any good?

Naw, it won't.

Two Words: Obama's Legacy.

I've said it on this forum...even started a thread on the subject....the GOP will win the debt battle hands down because Barack Obama stands to be the first President with a Debt Default (and all the calamities that will come with it) tagged to his name if he doesn't give in to GOP demands.

You should probably assume the position sooner rather than later, because your ideals are about to get screwed at the behest of Barry's Legacy.

So you are asking Obama to stand for Ideology instead of the welfare of the American people... okay... What Obama has been doing has been mainly for his re-election... what the Republicans are doing are actually the proper way of solving problems but also as an assault on a person who is using difficult situations to boost his image for re-election... they are attacking in two fronts but at least they are doing something for the American people....

I completely agree with Stillkit. Thanks for the post and for sending the message.

If the Republicans get their way we will have lost our Republic to their corporate overloards.

Say, did you also ask him why he didn't put to paper a plan of his own or why when the Democrats controlled the White House, Senate and House they couldn't put forth a plan of their own and pass it? We know why, right? I just want to hear him tell the American people why the next time he gets in front of a microphone and starts whining about the Republicans.

The GOP has turned this whole thing into a ball measuring contest.

They don't have big enough ones to actually shut down the government again, but they're betting Obama doesn't have big enough ones to stop them.

So far, they're right.

Maybe being a leader is not in his blood. He has no experience with leading in his past.
You voted on a hope and dream and never bothered to look at his resume.

Some of the posts by the progressives are hollow. They argue about perception and talking points without a clue on how things work in the real world.
