“We know it's costing us between $2 and $3 million a day now,” Rep. Buck McKeon, R-Calif., the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, told Fox News. “We probably spent over a billion dollars there -- or close to it -- and I have no idea where the end is.”

“This operation will be days and not weeks,” President Obama said in a speech on March 22 at the start of the military mission.
Sigh, I guess you didn't realize most Republicans were saying Obama should have sent ground troops in Libya to take out Gaddafi. Yeah...if that's the route we took, we'd be paying 100x more than now and be responsible for the reconstruction of that country just like in Iraq.
Speaking of humanitarian, what happened to the protestors in Syria? Did Assad kill them all?
Last week in Paris, the French Foreign Minister, Alain Juppe, raised eyebrows when for the first time he suggested that one possibility being considered was that Col Gaddafi could stay on in Libya if he stood down as leader.
Then this week, the main rebel leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal in which he too said that Gaddafi and his family could stay on in Libya but only under certain conditions.
"We will decide where he stays and who watches him," said Mr Jalil. BBC News - Could Gaddafi go into 'internal exile' in Libya
Good, now we can get out of Libya. Congress has proved worthless!

Which is why we need to cut military spending in half.
We spend 4 times more then the rest of the world combined on our military. This makes us have to take the lead on crap like Libya. And it gives us the means for wars like Iraq.
Cut the defense budget to twice what the rest of the world combined does, and we'll be in a whole lot less "military actions", and the budget will be a whole lot simpler.

Has Congress authorized this yet ? WHY NO, NO THEY HAVEN'T
Congress shouldn't whine about the cost of a war they can stop at any moment because they never authorized it to begin with.
But, can't they refuse to fund it? Or let's put it another way. Where's the TV ad of President Obama pushing granny off the cliff while drones fly overhead on their way to Libya?
