Reid should resign? Why? I know your childish emotions tell you that everything Rebublican is perfect and Democrats are evil, but perhaps you can try actually thinking sometime.

Boehner is doing his job as is Reid and they're trying to fix this. Unfortunately, the Republican House couldn't even pass their own bill last night. A sweeping reform could have been passed by now and they could all be working on something else right now.

Largely, it's the tea bagger element in the House destroying the country. Their supporters don't seem to care about the implication on interest rates and the Dow. I guess if I lived in a trailer park and had no money invested then I wouldn't either.

Yeah it appears that the radicalized arm of the Republican Party (The Tea Party) is holding our entire nation hostage. This isn’t at all surprising given that radicals often resort to terrorism as we’ve seen from Al-Qaeda and more recently the Norwegian Shooter. Fox News and Conservative talk radio have created a monster that even Speaker of the House John Boehner can’t control and now we’re all going to have to pay the price for that.

Thank God for the Conservative movement of 2010!

Taking a pill for 10 years, or surgery and be back on your feet in a month?

Reids, plan would work, except for his new mini congress of 12 that get to decide all economic policies.
That ain't going to fly.
The Tea Party was elected to destroy the country? Maybe we should try all the idiot conservatives for Treason.

According to our Constitution, this is all the House of Representatives responsibility.

Read Article 1; Section 8, one more time to refresh your memory.

It is all political play. Nothing else.

The house has 3 bills put forward. The House dictates the spending and on what, not the Senate.
Harry Reid, is the one under orders not to bring C,C & B to the floor.

It is there. A bi-partisan bill sits there, tabled on Harry's desk.
Article 1; Section 8 is titled "Powers of Congress." Pssst, the Senate is part of the Congress.

Apart from snotty comments about how someone else should re-read the Constitution, I think you should re-read it.

Note: Section 1 - The Legislature

All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

The Senate can certainly pass legislation prior to it going to the House with the exception of bills for raising Revenue.

The Reps could look bad regarding this...

They seem to be the active participant trying to plan something together while the Senate and President simply sit in judgment like America's Got Talent - and say FAIL. And they run back to the huddle, come out with another bill and FAIL. And the House is perceived as a failure.

The Senate and President are just sitting back and watching while the House tries to satisfy them, and their base. Not the greatest PR strategy - but you can't blame them for the effort.

Destroy the country? For wanting to stop spending money out of our ears?

I believe the people destroying the country are the people spending money we don't have.

The Republicans are becoming the Whigs, They and the Tea Party are two different party's and they should no longer claim to be the majority if they can't pass legislation.

I think it's important right now that we distinguish between Bags and conservatives. I have no issue with loyal Americans with conservative views. Our democratic Republic rests on the principle of compromise. I, however, have no time for American-hating Bags who are going to inflict economic pain on all of us for no good reason whatsoever.

Bags don't want to pay taxes at all? The lowest tax rate in history is too high for these Bags? Well then, the Bags need to get the "F" out of the country and quit enjoying the freedoms and privelages of a nation they are unwilling to give anything to.

Destroying the Country by defaulting on our obligations, destroying our Credit raiting and position in the world as the strongest financial asset, all to stick it to a black "Muslim" guy in the White House.

The Tea Party is the American Taliban.
