San Fran Nan kept her party corralled by buying them off with taxpayer $$. She offered them special projects in their district to bribe their support. The game has changed and such fiscally irresponsible tactics do not work. The fiscal Conservatives, as opposed to hoaring Progressives, can not be bought off their principals.

The democrats are not impressed with fiscal responsibility and principles. They only react to bribery and whoring themselves out to the highest bidder. Just look at all the bribery and special deals it took to get Obamacare passed.

Very well poised, and very well stated! Something San Fran Nancy knows nothing about, PRINCIPALS.

It's actually the opposite of what you think.

In your eyes all men aren't created equally, you're just a bit better and unwilling to compromise with the other side who just wants a better life.

That was you in the 1600's.

And the ever predicatable 3 phase sine wave continues....

This is an example of why this is a compromise bill. Just goes to show how out of touch the left is.

It goes to show how Americans are unwilling to live like the rest of the world.

Apparently all men (and women) aren't created equal.

This was no compromise bill, the only compromise Boner did was to try to get Tea Partiers in line with the established repubs by putting in the balanced budget clause which he knew would never get by the democratic controlled congress. Some compromise!

Well of course it was a compromise, the right didn't get everything they wanted, hence the 22 votes against the bill. Of course the left is unwilling compromise, so we can expect the Senate Dems to vote as a block. Their motives are clearly political.

It's a shame the Dems won't compromise. I have no idea why they are for default.
