It seems to me that its the banks and lending institutions and foreign lenders that make out if the government defaults. Interest rates go up, there are more foreclosures, the banks and lending companies get property at bargain prices and can make more lending and can be far more discriminating in who they lend to. And if they get in trouble they get bailed out by the taxpayers. The lower middle class and middle class will take the hit. Obama gets blamed but he's out at the end of his term anyway and we get a new puppet in chief. They can play musical chairs in the house and senate as long as the same select few get to trade power.
I think they both want a default and will play the blame game all the while laughing all the way to the bank. One world order, one currency, one royal screwing.
Gotta love that FED, too. Nobody stands in their way.

What these inept, irresponsibile (most of them) elected servants of the people.... do or don't do, is effecting over 300 million Americans.

They better remember that fact....because ''we the people'' WILL.

Deferred taxes are great but it adds up to alot missing from the tax coffers to keep the country going.... Just sayin'...
