ameriacn 'liberals' are not about liberty..they are about class-war-fare, envy and redistribution of a fiat currency
Spell check next time.

You contradicted yourself. You did so because you do not understand what Socialism is.

And if both of those groups have no problem initiating force and aggression to "compel" others to do what they personally believe is right, what exactly makes any of them liberal?
Liberal in the modern definition. People in congress who identify as such.

Well put that way, those "liberals" are collectivists of the socialist nature. Tyrants, megalomaniacs, and psychopaths. Economic totalitarians. (Though no worse that "conservatives" who are Social Tyrants and socialist only when it comes to "business". ) Either way, "liberals" are definitely not liberal when it comes to freedom.

Got it.
..............our choice, heads we lose and tails they win. They have Americans arguing with each other.............just like the cultist activity of the modern Churches, pretending they are better than the other, teaching their teachings are Superior and infallible. That contradicts the notion that only God is perfect and we learn by watching Him. ............but this is the question...........How do you define Liberal?.............In today's America there is no noble LEFT and Right, only the rotten upper crust stealing all the doe. They are the corrupt middlemen who take a big cut out of the middle of every deal.........no matter who it is directed to.......the old the young, rich , poor, Sick or healthy, they think they deserve a cut out of every deal. Just watch the IRS take their greedy portion.............but THANK GOD WE ARE NOT GETTING ALL THE GOVERNMENT WE ARE PAYING FOR.

By its traditional definition, one who seeks individual liberty and private property with a reduction of government interference and regulation.

By today's standards... open up any book on Marxism.

Read the first paragraph.
FYI, I was born in Germany and have studied its history and poltiics all my life, I think I might have a better idea of who they were than some. Which group was the hated enemy of the Nazis, clue it was the same group they fought with to control the country in their rise to power, maybe that will clear things up for ya.

I know what you're saying, and of course you are right, but we have an entire generation being raised on rightwing fantasy, the only way it takes is if those it is directed at are clueless enough to believe in revisionist history.

As this thread, and thousands of others, have proven, there is no shortage of stupidity in this country and history is being rewritten.

Non of this is true. Stop acting as if your lies are correct.
These people are rewriting history. For those who know nothing of history they don't realize what they are being taught is revisionist.

Thats what the Dumbing Down of America is calculated and deliberate.

My definition of a liberal was formed by a speech given back in 1960, and it hasn't changed since: A Liberal Definition by John Kennedy:

Quote:
But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."
