SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A guest at the Hilton Garden Inn in Santa Rosa, Calif., filed a class-action lawsuit against the hotel over a 75-cent charge for a newspaper, officials say.
Rodney Harmon, 55, filed the suit in U.S. District Court in San Francisco Wednesday, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. He alleges the hotel chain deceived him and is also hurting the environment.
Another useless lawsuit .With the print age starting to go into decline,in favor of the digital age can I file a lawsuit about that ? With the loss of more jobs that what it creates ?

I noticed this at a recent hotel stay. Always thought the paper was complimentary but then noticed the fine print. It is deceptive. But I wouldn't file a class action suit. If I didn't read the paper (which I do) I'd complain directly to the hotel. May get a free night's stay! If enough people complain, they'll probably stop doing it. Class action suit? Nah. Not for this. Only the lawyers win.
I agree, I was charged before too...I thought it was free. I don't care about the whole wasting tree part, but it's a deceptive business practice.
It says in the Hilton Honors program you can get the $.75 back. How is it deceptive if you didn't look it up?
