It would help but try to enforce it, lol. The bell has already rung and cannot be un-rung. We have created a situation where non-citizens can birth a baby on our soil and be guaranteed an entree into entitlement programs.

As long as any baby born on our soil is automatically an American citizen, regardless of their parents' citizenship, what are we supposed to do? Let kids suffer in our streets?

We need to get rid of entitlement programs and the incentives they create to lure others here.

Much preferred over militarization of our border.

We need to get rid or, or modify, the idea of birthright citizenship first.

The Fair Tax would largely fix the immigration problem. Under the Fair Tax system, it would be prohibitively expensive to live in this country if you were not a legal resident. However, the chance that Fair Tax will pass any time soon is extremely low.

I also favor eliminating birthright citizenship and putting far greater restrictions and monitoring on low-income programs to eliminate fraud by illegals. Additionally, I support vast streamlining of the path to citizenship to make it easier to become a legal resident.

I am 100% behind using immigration enforcement to reduce the burden on the American taxpayer to provide financial assistance to anyone in the USA illegally or the children of illegals.

So enforce citizenship to get into the entitlement programs and what will happen ?
Crime will probably skyrocket to take it's place.

We are past the point of no return with the illegal immigrants.
We give them food, shelter, medical and educate their kids.
Sorry..but it will be very hard, if not impossible to turn back the hands of time and not allow it.
