So, I'm sitting here watching "The Godfather" on AMC and low-and-behold, before commercial break, is Rudy Giuliani. He is sitting there talking about his favorite mafia movies, yada, yada, yada. I'm thinking, "How is Rudy Giuliani going to be the man who was known for bringing down the Mafia in NYC. Yet, he is here hosting a marathon about Mafia movies?"

I know that we should care less about the Mafia's feelings, but it kinda makes a mockery of the history of Giuliani's impact on the Mafia.

Thoughts? Hypocritical of him? Tacky?

It becomes much clearer once you understand government is the biggest criminal organization ever.

I guess you are right, but it blows me away that he would even do this. Like I said, mafioso are criminals, but it is like a spit in the face of the criminal investigations, families involved, and history of the NYC government-versus-Mafia. And the way he was commenting on the mafia films was as if he was admiring organized crime. You took down so many mafioso and now you are congratulating these films that document organized crime and made it well-known?

I bet the Founding Fathers are looking down and thinking they shouldn't have bothered. The US has done far more evil deeds then Nazi Germany ever did

The same with my British one.

Who says that Mafiosi are criminals? The multi billion dollar crooks in Washington.

Compared to the American government, the Mafia are just small time thieves and killers.

Giuliani is a media w h o r e. Turn on a camera and he is there. This is not surprising.

Well, a lot of mafioso committed murder. I consider that to be a criminal act. That's the part that really sucks, is the murder.

Now, you are taking this in a different direction; kinda like a conspiracy theory direction. I try not to get into all of that. Yes, you are correct about Washington crooks, but that's not where I am wanting to go with this. LOL That's a different thread.

Its only a criminal act if the lawmakers deem it to be. Murder has been a part of humanity before laws ever got established. Its deeply rooted in the human mind.

Sometimes, murder is an important tool that has to be implemented to save lives. There are countless cases of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan that kill others in order to save the lives of wounded American soldiers.

So, if murder is "unlawful", then I guess you can't protect yourself even when someone already has the knife in you.

This is the least of Giuliani's tacky behavior.

You have an interesting view on law and punishment, LOL. I don't agree.
