After this budget deal it is clear that we need the tea party more than ever. The problem is bipartisanship. The worst legislation comes when the two parties work together. Both Democrats and non-tea party Republicans are spending this country into oblivion.
We do want change but the Tea Party is in the completely opposite direction.
We need socialism for the majority of our people and raw capitalism for the few wealthy. We need to subsidize things that help all of us such as a Universal Health Care system free of the privately owned medical and insurance industries instead of bailing out the Wall Street gamblers and subsidizing the oil companies’ monopoly profits.
I have yet to see any reason to go where the Tea Party and most of right wing want us to go. All of these places would be a financial and social disaster for most of America.
We can start by supporting any and all Democratic Party Candidate in All future elections on the local, state and federal levels. Donate to them and work for their election and we can free ourselves of the monied wealth suckers damaging almost all of us.
How exactly is socialism for the majority and capitalism for the weathly going to work. That means stealing the work of the wealthy and giving it to the ones how can't drive. What happens when we run out of the money from the rich? The rich aren't going to just stand there and let the gov't take their lifes away. Since you will ALWAYS have many fewer people making the big money which will be given to many more other people, what happens when there either isn't enough left for all the people or the rich can't gain enough to "feed" everyone. Then what? The problem with socialism is that you will ALWAYS have more people eating than you have cooking.
The question is, what are we going to do about it?
The real question is what the majority will do about it.
You have a group of folks not wanting or willing to give up anything. They don't care that we are broke and have to borrow to fund all these programs.
If you work WITH the system, it won't be changed! What is really killing this county is that so many people have this "US versus THEM" mentality, fueled by the lack of religious principles in this country. This used to be a "be all you can be" nation. Now it is a "get the gov't to steal from others and give to you" nation.
If this is true, and I believe it isn't, you are saying that America wants Larger Government and MORE intrusion into our lives? The Tea Party is for Smaller Government and LESS intrusion into our lives - hence the "freedom" part of America.
The TP is shaking up both D's and R's.
IMO that's a good thing. The lifelong politicians in DC are just a bit too cozy with doing what they want for who they want when they want and don't care a whit about the taxpayers.
Then let the Tea Partiers form their own party and quit hijacking the Republican party and all their resources. Give people a clear idea of who they are voting for next time.
If we have learned anything about the highjacking episode we just witnessed, it's that the TParty cares absolutely nothing about the United States.
And running full speed into $20 trillion in debt, and ensuring our nation's credit rating is downgraded - that is your idea of caring about the country?
The TEA party wants to put the breaks on this completely insane trillion and a half dollar deficit spending spree, and you see this as un-American?
