Weren't you supposed to be done with comic books by middle school?

...which is about as valid as saying "Video games are a kid thing".

The whole idea sounds pretty lame and uninspired. Why not do something different like have a grade school kid acquire Spiderman's powers? They could do a cartoon based on that, say have clones of superheroes and villains who live in a private school and constantly compete and fight with each other. Part of a government plot or something.
Or have Spider man go crazy and become a super villain.
I came up with a movie concept similar to " Mystery Men" that is far more creative and original than a gay biracial Spider Man.

Of course he will be.
He'll probably be an America hater as well.
That seems to be the trend.

My argument is better than anything you could ever come up with.

Then why was it OK when Ben Reilly became spiderman in the main marvel universe? I don't remember all this ire.

To be fair, that entire arc was convoluted.

Which has happened before in the comics, and in other universes, Peter Parker wasn't even Spiderman, or white for that matter.
Calling this "PC" is insane at the very least, grasping at straws at the very best, and just all around stupid and ignorant of the actual comics.

Wasn't white?? Peter Parker is such and "ethnic sounding" name.

True.
But pack to my point. There has been an Indian Spider-man since 2004.
There is even a universe where Peter Packer is the Hulk.
This type of stuff happens in comics every day.

Any more stereotypes you want to throw in there while you are at it?

I misspoke.
What I meant is that Spiderman has been multiple ethnicites before, as well as there have been numerous Spiderwomen.
There is an Indian Spiderman and a Japanese Spiderman still ongoing. Miguel O'Hara (Half hispanic) was Spiderman in the 2099 series (which is being revisited in the upcoming Spiderman game), and I'm pretty sure there has been a black Spiderman before at some point.
The main point here being this:
Those who are whining and complaining about there being a black, possible gay (which the only wording the author said was "I can't rule that out", which really doesn't mean anything) Spiderman have never actually read into the Spiderman series.
