Why do they need to revamp Spiderman to reflect changing racial demographics. They need to create a new superhero to represent new Americans. Not completely destroy old ones.
In most cases these "new" Americians have been around for a least a couple of hundred years.
It is if you have a inherent belief that a Black person can't be a hero.
Which isn't what the complaints are about.
The complaints are about changing a historically white superhero into a gay black superhero, when it was never conclusively said that the new Spiderman WAS gay, and to complain about SPiderman changing ethnicity is to be ignorant of Spiderman's history.
While I'm against the complaints being lodged at the new Spiderman, let's not misrepresent the arguments.
Sweet, maybe now they can bring back Apache Chief as a female with downs syndrome.
Most of the comics world is utter crap, no better than daytime soap operas....then you have some kernals of brilliance but most of that is found in the graphic novels where they don't have to cater so much to idiots and kids.
If they made a movie what do you think the rating would be?
Depends on the style of the storyline and what arc they use. I'd wager it being around PG-13 since that's the rating of the currently done horrors known as Spiderman movies. To give a better judgement of what the rating would be, I'd probably wait until the release of The Amazing Spider-Man - which is supposed to be an actual decent Spiderman movie.
OMG, They are filming the new batman sequel in Pittsburgh, I'm so ashamed, how could they. I demand they film in Gotham!!!!
(see how ridiculous this sounds?)
