For decades the liberals, with so-called good intentions I am sure, have been trying to educate Americans on eating healthy. They forced restaurants to change their menus, including how fast food is cooked. They managed to get everything labeled every which way and nutrional information is posted everywhere.

So we have a lot more regulation at great expense to businesses, which in the end is a consumer expense. What do we have to show for it?

AMERICANS ARE NOW FATTER THAN EVER!!!!!!!!

This is one simple example of how liberal policies rarely end up with the intended results. Liberals always THINK they are going to save the world, but their policies usually have unintended consequences. In this case, it was opposite results.

When will liberals learn?

People have nobody to blame their waistlines on except Mommy and Daddy.

If your parents didn't teach you a healthy way to eat then you're not going to know what to eat to be healthy.

Then there's the lazy gluttons. (You know who you are - if three taste good, then thirty tastes better)....

Go away nanny government. You can't run the country so you've decided to aim lower, at the citizens lives.

No doubt they'll be unsuccessful. Maybe they'll find a way to get that "mind control beam" to work.

Can't have fat people anymore. Government has to pay their healthcare. Soon the governments bio mass limitations will be put into full effect. If your over they'll put you in one of those FEMA camps to work out and lose weight or be killed. Call em FFF's (Federal Fat Farms) instead of FEMA camps.

Get ready for the govt issued "calorie card". It will work like a debit card and you must use it whenever you eat at a resturaunt. You will be issued a daily ration of 1500 calories. Every meal will deduct from the ration based on what you order. Once you hit your daily ration, you cannot purchase any more food for the day.

Red States take the lead in obesity. Odd how "liberal" policies backfired the most in Red States.

And I'm sure that the billions spent on marketing a lot of this garbage has nothing to do with the increase of obesity. I have to think it's a major factor when you see advertising campaigns pushing sandwichs which are 1500 calaries on their own.

Not the only factor, but I think a big factor.

The area of the country that is consistently Conservative is the South. This region has always had the highest obesity rate. It also has the highest level of racial insensitivity, lowest educational level, highest mortality rate, and poorest political instincts and judgment in the nation.

Also, without regulation, businesses cut corners because there is nobody to hold them accountable. Discrimination is higher. The quality of the goods or services is lower because executives would rather line their pockets and focus on profits rather than putting out a superior product and rewarding their workers with great salaries and benefits. Foreign labor is overwhelmingly preferred to maximize profits and qualified americans are unfairly sent to the unemployment line. Regulation is needed. Without it, there are great food and product recalls as manufacturers cut corners to save money. Historically bad oil spills happen. Qualified minorities are disproportionally denied opportunities. The good ol boy network flourishes when there's no regulation and bigots go about their way, fat, dumb, and happy.

Your claim is beyond ludicrous. Jesus Christ, man.

This calls for more regulation. The "war on obesity" and we'll need to fund it heavily.
