Repubs create jobs? Don't you remember that their number 1 job was to make sure Obama isn't elected again? They could care less about the unemployed, they just put thousands out of work by not passing a clean FAA bill.

Laissez-faire

According to historical legend, the phrase stems from a meeting in about 1680 between the powerful French finance minister Jean-Baptiste Colbert and a group of French businessmen led by a certain M. Le Gendre. When the eager mercantilist minister asked how the French state could be of service to the merchants and help promote their commerce, Le Gendre replied simply "Laissez-nous faire" ("Leave us be", lit. "Let us do").

I am trying to figure out why it is Congress's job to create jobs ? They can do many things but jobs ? Jobs today are either being eliminated by the " digital age " example print media, travel agency ,phone operator etc or outsourced to China/ hiring cheap labor .All the jobs of the future are gonna be digital but really how many writers, repair shops do you need on square block neighborhood ?

They're not focused on jobs or making the economy work, they're focused on doing all they can to give the impression that Obama is a failure. Absolutely irresponsible and short-sighted. It's a strategy that is as stupid as planting that imbecile "joe the plumber" in the campaign to try to trip up Obama.

I expect voters to see through this crap and kick many of these neaderthals out of office next year. Then, this country will be on a better road again. Boehner and the Republicans stink.

It's only 1/3rd of the government. Why hasn't the democratic government passed a jobs bill, as if that's what governments can do that anyway, during the two years they had total control?

In all fairness creating jobs isn't what our government should be trying to do. Creating a climate whereby private enterprise can create jobs is just about all we can expect from governments.
