I don't get it.
I'm not against the idea of selling clothes to children, hence the need for child models.
Not all children will be wearing osh kosh bgosh, lol
But at the same time.. this is just weird and kinda creepy.
It's like.. even when you take away the "sexy" aspect of this particular photo, look at her. She looks like a total "C" word. (Rhymes with bunt). It's like.. it's cool to be like that.
I find these kinds of ads disgusting. Ditto the TLC show I saw a part of yesterday about 5 year old girls in "beauty pageants". These things make me shudder.
Blame the designers, they design clothes for women w/absolutely no curves to them.....the prepubescent type if you will. I think 10 is a tad too young to be looking like that. Models usually start around the age of say 14-16 which yes, is still pretty young but at least you've gone thru puberty!
I'm posting this article in the "other controversies" end of the spectrum because I think it belongs here and not in the fashion section.
The controvery: Sexualization of children in the fashion industry.
Sadly, that's what happens we allow the perverted, gay, liberal atheists to have free reign in the entertainment industry: they push their disgusting pedophile smut onto us, and try to convince us this is normal behavior of a child and that we, as good parents, must allow the child to 'express themselves' sexually. Why do we allow this prostitution of our children?
If we say no to the sexualization of our children, we're accused of being prudish, puritanical, uptight Americans who love war but are afraid of sex.
I just looked at the rest of her pics on that link. She's a beautiful girl to be sure, the ones of her where she looks more natural, casual & closer to her age are really really good. The others where she's putting on make-up? She just looks exactly like what she is: a little girl playing dress-up. I don't find that to be modely at all, it just looks like she's trying too hard. Not her fault of course, it's the photographer/magazine/editor, etc.
