Basically if you analyze what they are saying, they are basically saying whatever is good for government is good for all of us. They think that government unions somehow improve the lives of EVERY SINGLE Wisconsin resident. What horse crap that is. They are leeches of taxpayer money, nothing more. Government never has, and never will, create prosperity. It's all a big illusion when the house of cards come falling down. That's why Democrats are fighting tooth and nail against reducing federal spending, because a huge bloc of their voters in NoVA would be out of a cushy taxpayer supported government job

Sadly, you are right. I read a study done a while back that said all public unions have been taken over by Socialists and Communists for the sole reason of getting closer to political power and the local economies. Their true intent is NOT to do anything for the worker, but to USE the worker as pawns in their chess game to try and disrupt those economies in hopes they will fail so they can usher in their long awaited change from a Republic to a pure Democracy. Also check out Soros' plans to put all Progressives in positions where they will be in charge of vote counting. It's all tied together.

It's a good thing that I woke up. Because I realized that that is the plan all along. One only has to look at public school education to see that the statist liberals have completely taken over education. The public union is their tool for the elite liberals like Soros, Gore, et. al., to take over the U.S. and that is why they are trying to hard to fight for union privileges which benefit no one except government workers. Public unions are very different from private unions. Private unions cannot influence government policy as much as public unions can and the Dems will not give up that power without a fight.

Look at California. They'd rather let the state go bankrupt before they cut government spending on lavish public union pensions, salaries, and benefits and then you wonder why the cost of living in California is so damn high. Cost of living is directly related to the tax level of those communities.

Yes, CA is a glaring example of this. +1

Did you know that you have to pay carbon taxes in California? They are included in your utility bill, apparatly. Also, the Northeast U.S. (except PA) participate in a regional carbon tax aka cap-and-trade scheme last I checked

Well, it appears the government workers' union went all in on the recall election and failed.
True, they picked up 2 of the 6 seats, but the republicans retain a 17-16 majority in their senate.

One thing I was unaware of until today - there is going to be another recall election in Wisc. next week for two democrat senators.

Interesting.

This does not portend well for the d's in next year's national elections.

Yeah, I knew some states did that. I think NJ, where I'm at, does this too. Where does this money go?

I have no idea. The thing is called the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.

And that's not it. You also have powerful public sector unions there as well that Christie is trying to slap around. I'm surprised he is succeeding, but not as much as Walker. I hope he does, cause I'm tired of Democrat-voting Jersey boys and girls moving to PA and building up the Poconos and giving morons like Ed Rendell (our ex D governor) a chance of being governor. Same with the people from public union controlled MD to my south, doing the same thing over here, moving in droves because the unions jacked up property tax rates so high in central Maryland that they move to York County, PA because public unions have not ravaged this county yet, keeping our taxes lowish

Trust me, I work for a public union in NJ. I applaud Christie for what he has done. I'm taking a hit, but we all have to. Our union is useless beyond belief anyway.
