And why is new revenue not going to be addressed?

majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues
What's wrong with you? I have asked repeatedly for you, or any of your fellow travelers to enlighten us. Please tell us how much revenue you expect from increased taxes. Also please tell us the last time the Dems touched Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security?

You claim the downgrade was the mostly due to Republican actions when that is clearly not the case. Until the left can be honest we are doomed. If they can't be honest now they will never be.

I didn't say the downgrade was mostly due to that, I said it was one issue, only Republicans were blamed for that one.

Both parties were blamed for not enough cuts and entitlement. But only one party is being blamed for not compromising on revenue increases.

You're such a hypocrite. I've yet to meet an honest conservative.

You are clearly delusional if you think the Republicans didn't want more entitlement cuts. They were forced in to a deal at the altar of "compromise". It turns out the Tea Party was right. They should have held up the deal until they secured real entitlement cuts. That is where the big money is, yet the left refuses to even discuss it.

Sorry, the left is in a shambles and will be punished severely at the ballot box.

Where did I say they didn't want more entitlement cuts? The Tea Party blocked any form of revenue raising compromise on this Bill.

The Tea Party terrorists are who destroyed this country, and I guarantee to you, the non insane voters know it. I expect Democrats to retake the House.

The left blocked any entitlement cuts. The left are terrorists who were hell bent on the downgrade. Congrats you got what you wanted. You can expect anything you like, but it is the Dems who control the government, this happened on their watch, the will pay the price.
