I am happy Americans are also gradually moving away from their bellicose past the way Europeans have. 31 dead soldiers is nothing compared to previous wars where routinely hundreds of thousands or even millions of soldiers died. But it seems people finally realize what a waste every single lost life is, thus the outcry now because of this incident.
The West should not waste its people on Taliban and other morons like that anymore. The West should focus on quality defense alone. No need to invade other countries to do so...
Those moron taliban killed 3K citizens on our soil. Innocent women, men and children. How soon we forget. Yeah lets just leave and let em start up again as if nothing happened. Good plan. Better yet send the DOJ over there to arrest em.

And far more of ours have died trying to "even the score".
What a sensless waste of humanity, resources and personal freedoms.
We aint going nowhere. Gotta fight for those rare earth elements now that China is hoarding plus ensure the oil from the caspian region is traded in US dollars. And yes there is the tea party war mongering racist redneck gun totin bible thumpers. Forgot about that.

Well, the US has dragged an entire country into their revenge crusade, a country which has little if anything to do with 9/11. There is no point in invading a country just because a couple of crooks temporarily live there.

When did the Talban invade the United States and kill 3k citizens????
I only recall some criminals who for the most part were from Saudi Arabia that killed U.S.civilians; or did I miss something?
But I understand how hard it is to keep track of who did what and for what reasons we invaded these countries with all the LIES our government has told us.
For example:
(Reuters) - A NATO helicopter crashed in central Afghanistan overnight killing 31 U.S. soldiers and 7 Afghan troops, the Afghan president said on Saturday, a devastating death toll and easily the worst single incident for foreign troops in 10 years of war.
when do we stop?
our credit rating is shot, our people are dying, other people are dying, our debt load is rising, and most americans oppose the war.
when will this president listen to us?

Then stop trivializing their deaths by using it as another opportunity to bash the president. Did President Obama shoot down the helicopter? And what does any of it have to do with the national debt? Or our credit rating? Stop politicizing this tragedy.
The lives of American soldiers and the sacrifices that their families make on our behalf are being used as political pawns in this thread and that is not only unpatriotic, its immoral.
You live in a state that voted for George Bush, a pathetic village idiot universally recognized as the worst man to reside in the oval office in history. Bush wrecked this country, making it hard to fix, EVEN FOR ANOTHER REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT. He lied to engage this country in two unncessary ideological wars. He ignored the domestic agenda, while picking his nose in pure deregulation bliss as every domestic category fell into severe crisis mode. Worst than Bush are the people who put him there and supported his reelection. These are the people criticizing President Obama, the tea baggers, and any Conservative. Wake up.
This country cannot rise from the stench that was Bush and the Conservative agenda until we kick those people out of Congress and out of offices everywhere. They stink. It's obvious what must be done.
Dems were complacent for the Midterm elections allowing these imbeciles to gain a foothold. '12 promises to be very different now, especially with the GOP having caused the downgrade and broken Congress with their tea bagger bunch. A complete annihilation of the GOP and a reelection of this great President Obama solves the problems that plague this country.
Cool it with the kool-aid...
1) The options in 2000 and 2004 were Al Gore or John Kerry...
2) Both parties are responsible for the credit rate dropping...both were warned and too stubborn to take the necessary actions.
3) Obama is a terrible president. He cannot lead, and he is weak. He is Jimmy Carter 2.0. The bottom line is that Obama is the chief executive i.e. the boss. He takes credit for everything, the good and the bad.
4) The beginning of the end was in the 1990's when Clinton and a Republican Congress passed "free trade" agreements. It might be tough for some of you to accept this, but both parties play for the same team...multi-natonal corporations. Every issue that arises is a distraction from the truth.

On OUR behalf????
I'm afraid not, I did not want them over there invading and occupying a foreign nation, maybe YOU did but not I.
