Depressing. People should learn to get along with their family and learn to know their neighbors because one day those people will be all that you have. To die alone and have nobody care is just sad.

Just another lost soul, very sad. Never mind the estranged relatives tho, what about neighbors, the mailman, her church?
Not one person on her street or in the town said, wonder why we haven't seen her, and no one new ever moved into her house?
This is elder abuse/neglect on a large scale.

Do you always blame the victim with every unfortunate event? Be aware, rapist take that personal. as they should.

They should donate her estate to a charity. as the family sertainly doesn't deserve it.

I don't understand how in 8 years the house didn't suffer any issues from power being off. or no one noticed the smell. Are people so busy they can't take a minute to look after people around them? A simple act of kindness whould have prevented this
