Overrespresentation of blacks and other minorities in federal jobs (employment, racism, solution)

There is an even higher overrepresentation of Anglo-Saxon and Jewish people in the top positions of finance and government. They are running things so the buck stops with them, not some fat loud mouthed ingrate in "social service".
What is the point of talking about meaningless trivia? Next time talk about a specific institution or person (not race) who is doing something harmful and then we will understand where the outrage comes from.
Okay, but my point is that if the federal government were 98% white would there be such outrage regarding the salaries and benefits that many federal workers are receiving? Or would people actually divert their attention to some of the more pressing issues that are plaguing the economy?
Perhaps could there be a better way than stripping millions of people of the right to earn a decent living? Do you honestly believe this economy could survive millions more in unemployment? There are no private sector jobs to absorb them. When you have a minimum wage job with a family and no benefits there is no room for discretionary spending. What are you going to buy? I understand our economy is based on consumerism but honestly, what is there to buy when you can barely afford a roof over your head?
That's because our government is the biggest racists in the room.
Individuals don't count, but favored groups do.
Because they know that selecting the "other" as the oppressor is a nice distraction. Most of the people causing major damage to the country are other white Americans against their own race. However, now we have the bogeymen of Islamic terrorist, Mexican invaders and radicalized blacks led by Obama. Yet who was it that caused the borders to get wide open? Who supported terror groups from the Contras, Mujaheddin, PKK? And who promoted the thug worship culture? These were mostly white people who were able to do so because of their position in power.

The 2% of the government is who control things. Being aggravated at the 98% won't do anything because if they were not there, the elite would replace them with their intellectual equivalent from another race. The true problem is that there are too many people on the planet already and there is no use for more people. All the major financial expansion in recent history were for trivial things, such as playing with paper and money (stock market) and the internet boom (creating meaningless diversions). There is nothing more to do that is actually productive, hence there are no other possibilities for employment because everything that is productive or useful to do is filled to the brim. Hence why everyone wants to be a "reality" star, athlete or a musician. There is just nothing else left.
The federal government is incredibly inefficent. Private companies would not stay in business if they were run as poorly as most government offices (Unless they got government bailouts to stay in business, but I disagree with that as well.)
The federal government fired 0.55% of its workers in the budget year that ended Sept. 30 — 11,668 employees in its 2.1 million workforce. Research shows that the private sector fires about 3% of workers annually for poor performance, says John Palguta, former research chief at the federal Merit Systems Protection Board, which handles federal firing disputes.
The 1,800-employee Federal Communications Commission and the 1,200-employee Federal Trade Commission didn't lay off or fire a single employee last year. The SBA had no layoffs, six firings and 17 deaths in its 4,000-employee workforce.
When job security is at a premium, the federal government remains the place to work for those who want to avoid losing a job. The job security rate for all federal workers was 99.43% last year and nearly 100% for those on the job more than a few years.
The federal government pretty much offers total job security. Do a horrible job? No problem. Function no longer needed? No problem. The federal governemt will keep you on until you retire or die of natural causes.
Until the OP, I honestly had never given a thought to what races make up the federal government jobs. I have no idea, nor do I care, what color the people are who work there.
But something has to be done with to save money and weeding out the workers who are dead weight or redundant positions is a great start.
Why are you making this about race? What is it with liberals and trying to find a racial connection to EVERYTHING? Can't you just accept the fact that the government is TOO BIG TO BE SUSTAINABLE? We just lost our credit rating, and surely others will follow in the near future, and we can't pay our bills and higher taxes will kill what little tiny recovery is happening. Not to mention our eroding freedoms, we can't get them back unless government is scaled back
Even though statistically speaking Blacks are not overrespresented in the federal government there seems to be a push with this notion that Blacks are overrespresented. We often hear code words such as "lazy" and "inefficient" when referring to lower level federal employees. These code words were in fact pervasive during the reconstruction era...psychological programming used to keep blacks in the lowest level servile positions and out of federal and state government.
I have to ask, if the federal government was 98% white on all levels of representation would there be such a push to cut federal jobs? Why are people so eager to push people out of work that historically have been disenfranchised? The corporate sector is overwhelmingly white. Where do you suppose these people will go? When we choose to lay off millions and millions of low/mid level federal minority workers...were will they go to find a job?
For many decades the only good jobs that would hire blacks were government jobs and the military through which many civil service jobs come. Although that is no longer the case, government employment is a traditional job among many blacks families. Often you will find that grand kids, kids and parents are all working for the government in some way such as the Post Office. It is much the same story with the Irish filling the ranks of Police and Firefighters. It was once about the only job the Irish could get.
I have no problem with Black-Americans working in gov't jobs. The problem seems to be the lack of diversity of the Black middle class.
Yes the Black middle class is overreprsented in gov't jobs and underrepresented as entreprenures it seems. We need alot more of the Black middle class to use their college education to go into business creating more jobs for themselves and others. The Black unemployment rate has to be affected by the lack of Blacks going into business. These middle class Blacks with their eduction could be starting larger,well run businesses that could be employing alot more of the Black unemployed that we keep hearing about. So I'd like to see the Black middle class diversify as far as working in both the public and private sectors especially as job creating entreprenurs in the Black community. Also,being overrepresented in the public sector makes the Black middle class more vulnerable to those budget cuts.
You say entrepreneurship. However the problem is going into business doing what exactly? Most of the essentials that we buy come from Wal-Mart, Unilever, Proctor and Gamble and other large conglomerates. These businesses are so powerful they shape our image consciousness. Even the local bakery or cupcake shop often cannot survive without them.

Use black faces. Its sad, but it is often easy to be a entrepreneur if you know how to exploit a demographic. You can provide jobs and run a successful business but its at the expense of other people. It is much harder to be a honest, hard working business owner/entrepreneur of any race.

No not at all, but you would be suprised at how many enterprises are built off of the fear and/or exploitation of many groups of people. Thats not innovation, thats manipulation and trickery.

Can't you just accept the fact that the government is TOO BIG TO BE SUSTAINABLE? We just lost our credit rating, and surely others will follow in the near future, and we can't pay our bills and higher taxes will kill what little tiny recovery is happening.
