Pubs do nothing but misrepresent, but with the recall elections looming, pathetic people like Walker are facing dire futures.

The typical slew of new jobs the Republicans brag about usually require the following dialogue.

"Sir, fries are extra"!..."No sir, you paid for the basic car wash; wax is extra"..."Yes ma'am, we have a sale on apples"..."hold on a second the slurpee machine is down".

Yes, the Republicans, ushering us into the land of serfdom.

Not a lot of "tourism" jobs in WI during the winter.

Quote:
Most of the new jobs generated in Wisconsin last month sprang up outside the state's urban centers, reflecting a burst of hiring by hotels, restaurants and tourism destinations, the state Department of Workforce Development said Wednesday.

A majority of the newly created private-sector jobs in June "appear to be in non-metro areas, where tourism plays an especially strong role in the local economy," said the agency in its latest monthly report that breaks out Wisconsin's statewide unemployment by cities, counties and metro areas.

The report found that seven of the state's 12 largest metro areas had fewer net jobs in June than in May.
Quote:
All 12 metro areas showed an increase in the unemployment rate, which is not seasonally adjusted. Metro Milwaukee's unemployment rate rose to 8.7% from 8% in May. The four-county area encompasses Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington and Ozaukee counties.
Numbers show jobs being created outside metro areas - JSOnline

Talk about a spin! Walker's spin machine is making me so dizzy, I want to vomit!

The issue isn't whether or not Wisconsin added jobs or not, the issue is a fraudulent attempt to ascribe what job growth that there was to be some sort of victory of Tea Party policies.

Well, WI resumed - after a 4-month lapse - paying extended unemployment benefits finally, after our moronic legislators let them lapse b/c they were too lazy/indifferent to change our statute despite a letter from the feds in January saying this needed to be done in order to continue benefits. Right now paying only 13 weeks of the 20 possible weeks available if our 3-month average unemployment rate rises to 8.5%, which it certainly will this fall once all these wonderful temporary $8/hr 'new jobs' disappear, and the teachers who were laid off claim unemployment (they usually can't during the summer) not to mention other state workers.

We'll see what the spin is in October and November. Dizzy barely describes the obfuscation of the real facts. Milwaukee County unemployment 8.7% per that report - UP and climbing.

Some droolers on AOL were crowing how Ed Schultz was doing a show in Madison Wisconsin tonite about recall efforts against Walker. I pointed it out to them that with todays economic news nobody would waste time on a dolt like Schultz and thats why MSNBC had such terrible ratings, they ignore news for political vendettas.
Of course they freaked on me.

I guess, for some, the only good job is a government job. Otherwise may as well collect welfare...

Were these jobs full-time and permanent giving people the ability to feed and house their families? More information is needed. How many jobs were beyond the minimum wage? Were there any benefits to them? How many people took these jobs as a second source of income, or even a third source?
Also, it's August now. Most retail businesses are gearing up for the holidays, and hiring people as seasonal temp hires.

It's the quality that counts. If the job will disappear in six months, what good is it except as a temporary bump in numbers for the politicians to wrap the flag around?

If ratings were negatively correlated to political vendettas, Fox would be last.

People watch the news that reinforces their beliefs.
