Oh, his mediocrity isn't limited to science and math. He also got a C in history, and a D in Economics... 2 topics you'd hope a presidential candidate was well-versed in.
Organic chemistry is NOT your garden type classes FYI.

Academics doesn't necessarily define how well a person will do in life.
But some are intent on demonizing anything lower than an A.

What's the big deal ? He ended up in politics.

I realise this is somewhat off-topic, but CA has choosen not to tap their oil resources. No one forced them to make that decision. If Texans had made the same decision, they might be as poor financially as CA.

I know this, and I agree, but the question remains of how that ties into Rick Perry. It wasn't Rick Perry's call to start the oil industry in Texas.

At that time 12 was considered full time. I usually took 12 or 13 quarter hours.

Really? Guess it depends on the school. Ours was 19-21 for a typical course load. IIRC 16 was min for a full-time student. But that was in the early 80s, things may well have changed there too.

Even when I went to college (FL in early 90's) 12 credits is full time. 21 credits @ 3 credits a class comes out to 7 classes per semester.
Some schools don't allow that without special permission.

Many 3 and some 4 credit classes, plus labs. 6 classes plus labs was the norm, IIRC. 2 semisters I was stoopid and took an extra class. 24 credit hours. Felt like I needed to get my money's worth. Actually, they were just interesting classes.
