And then Monsanto sold the rights to chemical giant Bayer right after that.

Funny that chemical companies have such a control over food eh ?

Yes and when you dig a little deeper and read about the background of Obama's Science Czar John P Holdren having studied and written about eugenics in his book Ecoscience and the Carnegie Foundations answer to the world over population Funding the Eugenics Movement
and Rethinking Eugenics the globalists in general wanting to have this "tool" in their bag of tricks--especially those who favor the forced vaccinations and the fabricated pandemics... it makes sense that chemical companies would have a lot of power. It is also revolting to think about how much time so many people have spent thinking about it and planning. It disgusts me.

Legislation & regulation.
I KNOW what you mean. The owner of the local fancy nursery here must think I'm a nut because I'm so concerned with not getting genetically engineered seeds. Anyway, here is a link to the SAFE SEED companies that have signed a pledge that they do not sell or will at least label if the do, GE seeds.

Safe Seed Resource List

One way to tell for sure(but it will take a year to find out) is that the GE seeds will grow a plant but the plant's fruit will have seeds that are infertile and incapable of producing another plant (besides growing that original fruit from the original seed you bought that may go haywire inside your body after you ingest it).

I wish I could take credit for it, but it's not my idea...Pollinators are our friends If you get
a chance watch the PBS special "Silence of the Bees".

Pollinators e.g. bees, butterflies, moths, birds
etc are attracted to native flowers of a region A LOT.

Plant as many native flowering varieties as you can
(5 being the suggested start) in between and close proximity to garden beds, crop acreage....
as well as try to eliminate pesticides etc. and you can be assured bumper crops
and a guarantee you won't have a shortage of pollinators, who in turn, won't have a shortage of their own food (nectar).

I've always planted natives because I'm a lazy gardener

It sure is in their words. (Interesting link though) Talk about providing 'safe' water. Yeah right. They probably want to poison the water beyond the fluoride that is already there that only injures our health (only topical treatments of fluoride are of any benefit).

Thanks! Great videos. Loved watching the hummingbird and the hedge hog (I think it was).

So is the idea to surround your veggies and fruits with five different flowering plants? Do they have to be strictly flowers or can they be herbs or vegetables or fruit that flower?

Yes, the part of Vandana Shivas' letter that is in quotes is directly from Monsanto.

I chose to to present this information on Monsantos' stated intent, in the context of Vandana Shivas' "reply", to help others understand how Monsantos control of water in India, is viewed by one of Monsantos' most vocal and esteemed Indian critics, Vandana Shiva.

scientist, environmentalist, and food justice activist Dr. Vandana Shiva, named one of the seven most influential women in the world by Forbes magazine. “The people will have to rebuild democracy as a living democracy.”

No it is Monsanto the king creator of genetically engineered seeds with 67 known health hazards that can develop if you ingest them or food grown from them.

According to this article a lot of Whole Foods products that aren't labeled "USDA organic" have GMOs in them despite a year ago and more their policy was not to sell anything they were aware of that had GMO ingredients. HOW DEPRESSING!

Organic Elite Surrenders to Monsanto: Whole Foods Market okays GMO coexistence | Food Freedom

Now the only way to be sure of what you are getting is to grow your own food with heirloom seeds.

I was wrong to go by this blog. Note to self: NEVER trust a blogger without checking all of their sources. It turns out in this case they didn't even bother to check with Whole Foods or the other two companies to see if where they read about these companies surrendering was correct.

Their policy hasn't changed and they never merged with Monsanto according to at least a hand full of employees I've talked about it with since then. There may have been discussions but I gather it ended there. Here is Whole Foods official statement:http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/2011...-non-ge-crops/

95% of all soy grown is GMO. Soy is a big part of the organic/healthy movement.
You can't escape GMO no matter how hard you try unless you grow your own everything.

That is just a sad fact of life now.
