We're seeing the results of Obama's and congresses' Borrow and Spend law. $2.4 trillion in new borrowing, coupled with spending increases, doesn't inspire confidence in the economy. Add to that, even the minimal trimming in the rate of increase in spending, "promised" in borrow and spend, looks less likely by the day, as names for the "super congress" come out.
Cut, cap and balance forces congress to accept some degree of fiscal responsibility, and may be the only way to do so. The irresponsible children in congress and the white house seem unwilling to do so otherwise. Is it still under consideration? Is there a viable alternative that will bring our fiscal house in order?

It hasn't been debated or voted on by the Senate so there is a good chance that Dirty Harry will suffer a reversal of his desire to kill it without at least giving it some consideration.
There is no way, no way that you are going to get anything through 3/4's of the states legislatures.
If you want a balanced budget, demand that your representative vote for nothing but a balanced budget.
I'm not so sure of that. Most states, and the associated state representatives, have to manage with a balanced budget. IMO, many feel little sympathy for federal representatives who have no such responsibility, and have hurt this countries finaicial basis so badly. Either way, pressure would have to be put on the states to get it approved. I'm thinking that the American public, and those in elected positions at the state level, are far brighter, better people than many we have in DC.
