kevinm, the bottom line is this: We The People had no other option but to vote for him. McCain/Palin? What a joke. The GOP screwed up big time allowing that disaster to take place. I am not happy with everything that Obama has done/hasn't done, but there is no way I would ever vote to put a Republican back in office after all George W. did to our country. What we are now dealing with is mainly due to the screw-ups of the past, mainly from the GOP, ie; Deregulation.

Don't think he is stupid...just a Leninist/Marxist...not certain if there is a difference however.

I don't want to be mean, but i do have to admit, i do not see a leader in Obama, anything but a leader. I feel he is weak, and not a strong enough leader. I honestly do not feel the people he has surrounded himself with, have helped him much. This administration, is by far the worse.

Looks to me like no matter what this guy does you will just lynch his academic accomplishments with rightwing rationalizations .
So graduating from Harvard Magna C U M Laude is meaningless in your opinion.
How about his 12 years as professor at University of Chicago Law School for 12 years...?

Also if your President is so dumb and stupid it should be a piece of cake for all you armchair politicians to get off your butts and easily run for office to put America right, in your successful run for the Presidency... unless you guys arent even as smart as he is..

Obama is an Empty Suit, many of us have known this to be true. Even the most diehard of liberals are starting to open their eyes and realize this fact-

NYT: What Happened To Obama?

And if you were to swap Obama for the candidate of your choice who would that person be?..

How does one get educated beyond their intelligence? That seems like a terrifically ignorant thing to say.

And the second sentence is equally vacuous. There is one "American Experience" to have?

This is like listening to a penguin judge a condor's flight.

While it might seem fashionable to lay all of today's problems at the feet of the sitting POTUS. Try this exercise; go back to any previous serious deadlock over legislation and how that president handled it then post-mortem that presidents methods and choices to resolve the deadlock.

In the harsh 20/20 of hindsight did that president perform admirably.
Did he punch above his weight, did he enable bi-partisan discussion, was he critical to the deadlock being broken or was it some committee of congressmen who actually effected a solution. Was some compromise of his parties rigid stance displayed by him or did he simply hold the line.

Only when you compare O'bama's performance in an un-biased manner with that of any other previous POTUS in a similar situation can you begin to measure his leadership abilities.

I hesitate to say it but it does need to be said; you also have to bear in mind that as the first non-caucasion president, he comes to the table with an additional degree of difficulty in stimulating consensus.

He is not stupid. He is just ineffective and generally useless as a leader.

Kinda hard to institute any policies if the opposition filibusters everything.
274 filibusters in Obamas first two years, that number being more filibusters than all previous filibusters combined.
Put any one in a similar position and they will also fit your description..
