I just wanted to see how everyone feels they lean politically and to see where they think the majority of the board lies.

Me personally, it really depends on the issue.

I think this board is fairly well balanced, but leans slightly right.

None of the above...

Depends on which direction the flag is flapping. The usual for riders of bandwagons.

Most of the posts on this board are either right wing or extreme right wing. There are relativly few posters in the center or to the left. I usuall feel like a leftist voice in a right wing wilderness.

I feel like there are several very reasoned voices on the libertarian side of things, however I feel most of the voices heard on the far left are fairly uneducated and outlandish. I feel those on the right on this board (even if we disagree on the issue) know why they think the way they do. I can't say the same for those on the left (to be 100% honest)

This forum is mostly filled with hardcore right-wing extremists. It's a well known fact people like to act like total jerks on the internet though, so it's not really that surprising at all.

This board is full of right-wing ideologues, but very few right-wing pragmatists.

To them, every problem is a "failure of so-and-so ideology."

"Failure of Keynesian ideology." "failure of progressive ideology." "Failure of liberalist ideology", etc...

culture warriors, in other words. People who are looking to implement their agenda regardless of the true nature of the problems. People who trust their "gut feelings" because they lack the ability to collect or analyze the mountains of data that is part and parcel with solving economic problems.
