I'm wondering...are there any Republican candidates that are focused on fiscal responsibility, but not a religious agenda? Rs waste a lot of political capital on useless crap pushed by the religious right, some of which I disagree with, others I just don't care about. Reproductive choice is number one, but there are others.
As said in the '90s, "It's the Economy, Stupid". Focus on what matters, don't dilute the message and go off on the religious fanatic path. It wastes time and turns off many moderate voters that might otherwise vote R.
I'd consider voting D if the fiscally responsible "blue dogs" actually had a seat at the table. Unfortunately, the Ds have been taken over as much by rabid leftists as the Rs have been by religious fanatics.

Depends on how they express their faith.
I'd be a lot more comfortable with Mitt Romney or Huntsman, frankly, than someone like Bachmann.

Yes, Ron Paul & Jon Huntsman both while men of faith do not push their faith via legislation. Ron Paul follows the school of Austrian economics and is without a doubt the most fiscally conservative member of Congress.

Yeah, Crist was yet another Progressive in RINO clothing. He fooled many Floridians the first time around. Glad that ship has sunk!

Does voting "pro-life" make someone a "religious nut"?
Does being opposed to gay marriage make someone a "religious nut"?

Ron Paul is the only one that comes to mind that is religious, but knows church and state must be kept separate.
