That makes no sense. If he stops using loopholes that will close them so no one can? No way other super-richers would follow suit by his example. Hypocrite or not, you're shooting the messenger.

It's perfectly legal.

He takes advantage of every loophole he can. Why does he do this if he thinks he should be paying more?
Because it's legal, and his argument isn't that "he" should pay more, it is that "people like him" should pay more.

I don't get it. I could've sworn you were a Tea Partier, and Tea Partiers have consistently argued that eliminating these deductions and loopholes for the rich is "killing jobs" and "raising taxes", and generally a bad thing.

He shouldn't be the messenger. He evades as much taxes as possible and always will. Also, it makes a ton of sense, why is he using those loopholes if he thinks he shouldn't be? That is the very definition of a hypocrite.

I'm talking about the mega hypocrite Buffet, not me or anyone else. If this asswipe thinks he should be paying more, WHY ISN'T HE?!?!?!?!?!

Like I just said, his argument isn't that "he alone" should pay more. It is that people "like him" should pay more.

Donating money to the treasury obviously wouldn't yield any changes to the tax code, which is his goal.

What makes no sense is you said "If he wants them to stop all he has to do is STOP USING THEM!!!!!!" That will only stop him from using loopholes, but they will still be used by everyone else who has the opportunity.

Regardless, you're shooting the messenger and ignoring the message.

Think about this logically for a minute.

If Warren Buffett argues for tax changes to the richest Americans that would not affect the taxes they pay...well, what's the point? Why would he be taking such a nonsense position?

I see no point in debating the issue with you until you delete your post where you took the liberty or changing the words of my post. Delete it or fix it so that it clearly shows that these are your word changes and not mine and save me the hassle of contacting a MOD.

He's the one saying that he should be paying more! WHY ISN'T HE? It's a simple question that he needs to be asked. All he is saying is, "do as I say, not as I do". It's the typical elitist MO. He advocates raising taxes on people making over 1 million. It won't effect him, because he cheats the system by paying himself only 100k, while he hides his real money from the tax collector.
