"During a speech in the Tamil Nadu capital, Chennai, Chao, on Friday, U.S. Vice-Consul Maureen Chao told students: 'I was on a 24-hour train trip from Delhi to [the eastern Indian state of] Orissa.' 'But, after 72 hours, the train still did not reach the destination... and my skin became dirty and dark like the Tamilians.'"
"A Vice-Consul with the US consulate in Chennai has kicked up a storm in Tamil Nadu with her remark that she became “dark and dirty like the Tamilians” after a 72-hour train journey. The US consulate issued a statement here today terming Maureen Chao’s comment “inappropriate” but unintended, and said the official herself regretted her “unfortunate” remarks."
Kinda like when Harry Reid said that Obama doesn't speak with a "Negro dialect". Just sweep it under the rug, it was just a misstatement. If it was Mitch McConnell that said that, they'd be standing outside the Capitol with pitchforks and torches demanding McConnell's resignation
If one person who calls themselves a Tea party member says something that could be interpreted as racist the entire tea party is painted with that brush. when leaders of the democrat party (Both Reid and Biden) do so it is nothing.

We ALL know that. However, none of them will admit it. With the complicity of the Democratic Party and the MSM, they just sweep it under the rug.
