She is getting kicked out of her subsidized housing, as punishment for her bad parenting skills.

That is what happens when a kid raises a kid.

She is on benefits, does not live with the boy's father and has 10 other children, the court heard.

Outside court she told reporters she was ''ashamed'' of her son.

''I didn't know he was in the riot. I went out to look for him. It's wrong I'm ashamed of him,'' she said.
She should be ashamed for herself. Lousy excuse for a mother. Hell, lousy excuse for a human being. 11 kids, and lives on handouts.

Did you even read the article? The mother turned the kid in, and said she was ashamed of him.

But the woman also suggested her son was not entirely at fault, when asked who she blamed for the looting.
''The government,'' she replied, her son by her side, adding: ''There is f*** all for them to do.''
Meaning there is a part of her that doesn't blame her son but rather the government.

Yeah, she does say government should do more for kids in that quote .. however, she also tells reporters she's ashamed of the son, and the judge praises her during the sentencing for forcing the son to turn himself in. Yet, the always fair and balanced posters here make it out like she posted ... my sun didn't do nuffin'.. damn govt.

Of course, what the mother said has very little to do with what she really feels, possibly.

Thanks for reprimanding those who didn't open the link. I think the PM said what needed saying when he said they need to reform their welfare programs. It is that very thing that makes those kids feel entitled to things.

"My baby didn't do nuffin" is tongue-in-cheek humor. Lighten up, Francis.

^ this. Anything to distance herself from her own son and avoid any sort of conviction. Blame the government is just gravy.

The government does share some blame. The welfare state destroys any work ethic and respect for others' property. This is not an unexpected result, as we have shown in this country. It's generally not working people that riot and destroy things, only those that have had dependancy and entitlement bred into them.
