Excessive alcohol leads to respiratory arrest and death.

Excessive marijuana leads to pizza and the Allman Brothers.

Why not? Do you strip search people before they get tested? I think it would work, and you're just saying it wouldn't because it tees you off that people can and do get away with it.

So why is marijuana illegal?
Fear and Ignorance. what else is new.
Part of it is based on racism. The testimony before Congress was given by an expert who had little factual knowledge.
The government has no right to tell a person what they can or cannot put into their body. The government does not own you. Believe in property rights. Our founders did.

Just another person who cannot take individual responsibility.
They are unemployable, because they could not stop themselves from using it to the point that they become unemployable.
So let´s get the FedGov to protect ourselves from ourselves.

It´s like Ron Paul says... if we legalize Heroin, how many of you are going to be stupid enough to go out and use it?

Just because something is *permitted* does not mean you need to go out and do it

That is why Ron Paul is not appreciated by those who cannot handle taking personal responsibility.

I can get in my car right now and drive it full speed into another car an kill that person. It happens everyday (mostly by accident) But I´m not going to do it.

This concept of personal responsibility can be applied to everything from poisonous mushrooms to Big Macs to shooting up the Post Office to strangling my GF to overdosing on sleeping pills to having sex with an HIV infected person to taking too much Viagara (never tried it) and dying from the hugest orgasm ever (saw that on 1000 ways to die, lol)

Conclusion: It is all about the MONEY, HONEY. Many people with influence might have their jobs gone and their kids would have to take out student loans to go to school, and they might have trouble paying their mortgages, blah blah blah.

It's racial. Read the history from the 1930's.

And the second reason is that our "liberal" politicians don't have the balls to change this ridiculous law.

You may be correct, but the real barrier is that our so called "liberal" politicians don't have the balls to even try to do anything about it.
