Syria forces hold hundreds in Latakia spor... JPost - Middle East

To stop this mass slaughter, NATO/UN should go in and destroy ass-ad's criminal regime and its military elements. The military bases, tanks, etc., should all be destroyed so as to give the syrian people a fighting chance, just as the french and polish did for the US back in the 1770s...

This is the biggest BS I have seen in a long time.....

Literally millions have died in African countries because of their governments actions (or inactions) and the UN nor any western countries gave a crap...

Is there something special about Syria over all other African countries?

What makes you think the rebels are any better than the person who's running the country now?

So what you are saying is the UN should step in with military force in every country in the world where the population rises up against it's government

yes, we need to spend more money to save all the humans on this planet from themselves...not just Syria... that would include humans from every country and every continent...

we can create jobs from that...it´s just fiat currency anyways

great idea sterpetron... maybe you´ll win a prize.

oh, yeah, and send the idea to Sarina Palina or Bachwoman, they might go for it too

Let the French handle it.

Better yet, let the Arab league handle it.

No thx, even though I wish the Syrians all the best. The US is already embroiled in three military conflicts, and the EU is on the precipe of a financial crisis so guess who will get to foot most of the bill.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) should be disbanded. They are already way outside of their charter, and has absolutely no business in Afghanistan or Libya. NATO is nothing more than an extension of US policy anyway. The US controls who are allowed to be members of NATO, and there is always a US commander in charge of NATO. By bringing NATO into Libya Obama is hoping to avoid getting the constitutionally required congressional approval to use military force.

^I agree that NATO should be disbanded, but for different reasons. It has outlived it's usefulness, and most of the Europeon members aren't serious about maintaining capability. Russia has been sidelined to a large degree, and the most important region to US interests in the future will be the Asia-Pacific area, not Europe.

There was a time that I thought I would never agree with the above sentiment. I do now.
