Yep. Most recently, Alan West with his "Democrat plantation" comment and Rick Perry with his "black cloud" comment. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples but these are the two that come to mind.

Anyone else have any other examples to add to the list?

Hey folks. This is an actress. Unless she decides to run for a political office, I don't care if she crows like rooster in a hurricane.

The left wingers will conveniently skip over this thread.

True, but the point is that she manages to get herself broadcast to millions of people making an insane charge that Herman Cain is being paid to run for president to "prove" the GOP isn't racist. And the rest of the media runs with the story and rebroadcasts her rant so those who missed it when it aired on Olberman's Current TV show (which would include most of us) will be sure and hear about it. And millions of people will believe her and will remember it.

Yeah, whatever. She's just trying to get any TV time she can, since her career has officially spiraled down the toilet.

Any attention - even negative - is good attention, when it comes to your dog or Janeane Garofalo.

the people who will believe her were probably not going to vote for him anyway.

I like her. She had a good run as the sarcastic chick...didn't she do that cartoon Daria? But I wouldn't consider her a reliable political source or even commentator

I dismiss her as someone who has no credibility at all in the political arena. Same with Rosie O'Donnel. Yet, neither of them has any trouble getting air time when either one wants to spout off with their "political wisdom".
