One of the provisions in the Affordable Care Act is going to make this task a little easier by making insurance companies give you standard “health insurance facts”—written in plain English—for every private product they offer, starting in 2012.

The information will have the same format for every product, just like the familiar Nutrition Facts label that looks the same whether you’re buying a box of cereal or a can of soup.
New rules will make health insurance easier to understand

Do you favor making insurance policies easier to understand? Why or why not?

No! No! A thousand times No! Obfusication is the main ingredient in Republican policy.

If you make 'em easier to read then people will actually find out what's covered and what's not and why! Then Republican's lobbyists and slave master(s) corporate shill's won't be able to collect untold fees/premiums and then deny payments!

What will the multimillionaire's and billionaire's do then!?!!?

I said NO b/c the poll is stupid and biased. I don't support supposedly making health insurance policies easier to understand if it means we have to put up with the rest of that sham Obamacare.

Honestly, an insurance policy is not hard to read.... We don't need more gov't regulations to dumb things down.

Sounds like more job-killing regulations to me!

I am glad they are going to take the gobbledy-g**k out of health insurance policies......they should make them do the same for all insurance policies.

Do I think the Repulicans will find something wrong with it......why of course, they are against everything Obama does.

Let's see .....it will be harder for insurance companies to screw the little guy....the Republicans won't like that.

Oh, really? So how about if insurance companies complicate their policies more so that they're harder to figure out? Would you favor that instead?

You're kidding?......Right?........You really must be kidding. I've had a quintuple heart bypass, a carotid endo-artorectomy and 4 arthorectomies all under private insurance and you tell me that the policy and what it covers is easy to understand for the average patient?

You...have....got.....to......be.....joking.

What is so difficult about reading an insurance policy to begin with? This is the same crowd that signs a credit card statement then screams about the interest rates I'm sure. I guess our public school system has churned out so many idiots they can't even figure out how to read a policy. How will they ever figure out their auto insurance policy? Unbelievable how stupid some are.

I think this pretty much sums it up........

"Our consumer testing found that consumers liked this feature because it made it easier to understand how much coverage they were getting from a health plan."

How much do I get without having to pay for it. Yipee

You think dumbing it down for folks will make it any easier if they go through what you have?
