Thousands of unemployed waited overnight, camping out in their business suits and office heels and braving the tormenting heat in Atlanta to stand in line for a job fair Thursday. Authorities treated 20 people for heat exhaustion as they struggled to keep the line moving and get people moved inside.
The incredible turnout at the job fair comes on the heels of the state labor commissioner's announcement that Georgia's jobless rate rose.
The state unemployment rate increased to 10.1 percent in July from the 9.9 percent in June. The unemployment rate for African-Americans stands at 15.9 percent, far above the national rate of 9.1 percent.

The Obama administration announced a major change in policy for thousands of illegal immigrants going through deportation proceedings. They now may be able to stay in the country.
There are currently 300,000 deportation cases making their way through the federal immigration courts, but under the new policy immigrants classified as low-priority cases could be granted a stay and a chance to apply for a work permit.
Ana, who wouldn't give ABC7 her last name because she's in the country illegally, told us she's a recent graduate of Mission High and is now cleaning houses to make money before starting college in the fall.
"You know, we work here. We contribute to this community," said Ana.

It's not weird that black people would be there just the sheer numbers looking for a job. I guess that wouldn't register with a diehard Obama supporter.
This should outrage all the American people. Obama is just another sold-out politician to the cheap labor globalists. Thousands of work permits to cheap labor illegals while Americans can go to hell as far as Obama is concerned.
If more people are here legally, there will be more tax revenues more demand for consumer goods.
The unemployment rate won't be solved by deporting illegals. It won't be solved until construction jobs are back and construction jobs won't be back until most homes are no longer underwater. With the current policies it will take 7-10 years or more

After a wave of raids by federal immigration agents on Labor Day weekend, a local chicken-processing company called Crider Inc. lost 75 percent of its mostly Hispanic 900-member work force. The crackdown threatened to cripple the economic anchor of this fading rural town.
But for local African-Americans, the dramatic appearance of federal agents presented an unexpected opportunity. Crider suddenly raised pay at the plant. An advertisement in the weekly Forest-Blade newspaper blared "Increased Wages" at Crider, starting at $7 to $9 an hour -- more than a dollar above what the company had paid many immigrant workers. The company began offering free transportation from nearby towns and free rooms in a company-owned dormitory near to the plant. For the first time in years, local officials say, Crider aggressively sought workers from the area's state-funded employment office -- a key avenue for low-skilled workers to find jobs. Of 400 candidates sent to Crider -- most of them black -- the plant hired about 200.

If that's the case, why don't we just open our borders and let ANYONE who wants to come here do so. Just think of all the taxes we would collect!
