Perhaps it could be explained how "Sheeple" is an endearing term instead.
Here, let me break it down for you.
There's a ruler in Medieval Europe, who wants to give the serfs and peasants he rules some autonomy. He's not doing it because he's a saint, he's doing it because he sees the value in having the serfs and peasants loyal to him, not to the local landowner, not to the local Church. This ruler also wants to reduce the payments made by his subjects to the Church, again not for altruism, but because he sees the value in having some of that money go to his coffers, to help pay for things that will benefit the kingdom, not Rome thousands of miles away.
And here's the Pope, thousands of miles away, who sees this ruler as a threat to the Church's power. The Pope orders his bishops to order the priests to start rumors against this ruler. The Pope threatens the people with excommunication if the people don't overthrow this ruler. And the people, even though their situation in life would be much improved by throwing in their lot with the ruler, do the Pope's bidding.
Sheeple are people who follow blindly, without really thinking about the issues at hand. In this case, the sheeple are the peasants and serfs who overthrow a ruler who has taken their side, rather than rejecting the Pope and Church who would prefer that the peasants and serfs remain in the persecuted condition that they've always existed in.
The teacher of history, centuries later, tells the class about the peasants and serfs, who, with a chance for much greater freedom, reject that opportunity because their religious leaders told them to. The teacher uses a metaphor, rose-colored glasses, that is commonly understood to mean that people often prefer to see what they want to see rather than reality, and he modifies that metaphor, to extend its meaning. Jesus glasses can then be understood to refer to a preference to see what their religious leaders want them to see, rather than reality.
Rita's comment, then, about the teacher outing the Sheeple of history, is not mockery, nor a jibe at religion. It's about the fact that in history, many populist movements are not about rational decision-making, but are simply people following leaders for reasons other than the leaders leading their followers to a better situation. If you are a follower of some belief, but your leaders don't have any intention of leading you to a better place, why are you a follower of them? And that would be what the teacher was trying to get at in his discussion.

Separation of church and state does not mean to remove the Christianity belief in the Christian in a public school. If they can advance humanism in the state and schools, the Christian can believe in the Bible and uphold their personal beliefs too.

You are missing the point. This teacher had a former complaint against him regarding his "class based animus against practicing Christians" who used "harassment and intimidation" a complaint the court found "not entirely frivolous." So this guy has a history of complaints against him regarding his expression of hostility toward Christianity within the public school setting. BTW, the student in the lawsuit was also not the only student to find the teacher offensive in class. At least one other student dropped out of his class.

Exactly. Teachers can't just selectively leave out parts of the curriculum they don't like.
And regardless of what people who believe in creationism may say, evolution is science and belongs in science class and creationism is religious belief and belongs in theology and philosophy class. No disrespect intended, but let's categorize properly here.

Sounds to me like people didn't honestly prepare themselves for the class, since he made how he teaches clear from the start.
I quite honestly wish I had that kind of teacher in class.
Then again, I also think we should get rid of the "opt out of learning about evolution" option.

That is how Corbett teaches his class.
