More oil pumped from Libya means more oils to be purchased using US dollars. That after all was what this kinetic military intervention was all about. Means more Tbills and more money for the government to waste on their BS spending spree.

I imagine it's politically complicated and that Obama may actually be doing the wise thing.

What I want to know is, why don't we ever get any oil for our troubles over there? We've been in Afghanistan and Iraq for close to 10 years - have we gotten any complimentary oil yet?

It's not the oil we're after. They can pump it all they want. It's ensuring it's traded in US dollars. That is why we are there.

oh well I guess or Airforce pilots got quite a few hours of on the seat time flying the NATO sortie missions out of this Libya NATO mission..

All I know is we need to but some new F/A-18 superhornets as a stop gap to replace our aging f-18C Hornets instead of holding out to buy the F-35 JSF II ..Oh well they still got the libyan mission done and hey the US, Canada, France or British military did not take any Casulties during these US/NATO missions so thats atleast one positive thing...
