Because you and those like you are spreading false propaganda, and adding to the general ignorance of the law that unfortunately infects this country. You are also threatening the independence of the courts with this proposed unconstitutional piece of crap law. Out of your ignorance and prejudice, you could do real violence to the Constitution if people who didn't know better did not oppose you.

Who is an academic? I do this stuff for real.

Chillax, Chicken Little.

BTW, I don't like Islam. There you go again...it's a pathetic debate tactic.

You are really bad at this.

So you concede that this issue is all about FEAR? There's no rational argument that you are putting together. You are simply trying to spread fear and ignorance?

And Christian fundamentalists want their religion codified too.

The ACLU and the courts will have none of it, no matter which religion is trying it.

You need to understand what the ACLU's actual position on this thing is...and not what some right wing blog dishonestly says it is.

No this issue is about common sense which many of you defenders of those who want to kill infidels have lost at some point in your lives.

More fear, no substance.

Please provide the legal references where any of these organizations are promoting laws that supplant US legal code with Sh'aria.

Ignorance of he law, just like people who worry about muslims being up in arms about it.

I agree, passing laws like the one you cite is ridiculous and demonstrates a serious misunderstanding of Constitutional law. You are no better than the muslims you oppose.

This is bull**** you know, or perhaps you don't.

Funny thing is, the Muslims are inadvertently correct about some of the aspects of this law - that it violates the separation of powers for instance.

In your zeal to fight off Muslim influence, you ironically support a law that is itself unconstitutional not to mention completely unnecessary.

This is the kind of stupid crap that happens when people act on ideology, ignorance and bigotry instead of an actual understanding of the law.

Because of scaremongering and the gullible people that contribute to it.
Can you tell me what mosque you pray at?

Since you know so much about the Constitution which state legislatures are limited by the 1st Amendment where separation of powers is concerned.\?

Yep. Nothing. Nothing that supports your premise.

Ummmm no, I actually debunked that in detail in that thread. Can you address the points I made, or are you just going to continue flailing about with no actual substantive arguments, in a thread you actually started?

Flailing it is then...

If you think I'm wrong, show why - if you can.
