What a waste of taxpayer dollars this is. Until everyone has a job that wants one, there shouldn't be any of these rediculous expenditures. We need that money right now for all the expensive entitlement programs and unemployment benefits that we also shouldn't have. But at least the money would be going to U.S. Citizens and not going to kill civilians elsewhere and destroy other countries that we will inevitably have to rebuild and pay for that TOO.

Considering that the Libya war was sending oil prices through the roof, that added costs to families, businesses, and the government. The added tax revenue from more economic activity as a result of lower oil prices will be far higher than $1 billion. You're welcome for you early morning economics schooling.

America thinks it has to be the worlds policeman and clean up crew. With the high uneployment rate that money could have been spent elsewhere.

It served it's purpose. Oil is still traded in US dollars. Only a few wildcats left Iran being one.

If America didn't have the love of the car, and driving shoved up our rear ends this would not be an issue.

We've already wasted $1 Billion with a "B" in Libya
Is that all??????

Our MIC is usually not in the habit of pulling up stakes and leaving a country we've invaded until at least 100 billion has been squandered. What's happening to them??

I've never seen this phenomenon. You can walk all you want. Nobody forces one to drive.

What about all the people that NATOs attacks are killing? The deaths and misery caused by the Iraq war was all we heard about for months from the MSM...they are strangely silent about this one. As is the usual chorus of "anti-war" posters here.

True, but what does that have to do with reality?
