People don't like Obama. They don't like the Republican presidential candidates. They don't like the Tea Party. People don't like the House of Representatives leadership or the Senate leadership, or Congress in general. A lot of people don't like their state governors.
So... have we just become a nation of haters?
I'm actually tired of the overuse of the word "hater".
It is now trendy to call anyone a hater who has a different viewpoint.
Including your opinions of TV shows and movies.
If somebody questions anything or critiques anything they're labeled a "hater".
I think we have a become a nation of morons more than haters.

We started to hate when the Democrats decided the "other" side are enemies...

No.
It's always been human nature and goes back throughout human history.
What are you babbling about? Where did I blame Bush for Anything? In the last 20 years Clinton with the 96-200 Republican control Congress and Senate got more done than the Bush/Obama administration. Your ignorance on the history of Politics shows through you refusal to get out of the partisan rutt.
I disagree slightly. Clinton got more positive stuff done than Bush. Bush did a ton of things, but very few of them were positive.

I think the recessionhas tured some nto haters just like veitnam war and otehr events did. But that is a minority of true beleievers. Most just disapprove of the job the fedewral governamnt is doing basically. that does take actual hate. Of course their is always the usual; Rethoric that has been common since the 60's but the political parties themselves are to blame for raising its levels thru the years.Once you get eelcted you just can;t turn thwt type of rethoric politcis off;it then bites you .
Ever since the bubble burst in 2008 and we lost our near immediate satisfactions, we became a nation of short tempered children stuck in the "Terrible Twos". Its not hate, its fear masked in anger.
I dont either, except fstv for 15 min of real news, and maybe travel channel.
American television has become a land of trash and histrionics, and even Congress is something like a reality horror show directed by mark burnett (debt ceiling drama bombshell tonite).
cnn has the same commentators on re: homeland security every week. garbage in, garbage out.
