Exec. Director Deepak Bhargava Discusses the Tea Party's Fading Numbers - YouTube

The Tea Party is Dead, Long Live the Tea Party | Mother Jones

Quote:
The Tea Party, the Club for Growth—the whole movement has succeeded in driving Republicans further to the right. Nuking a few moderates in primaries was only part of that—a great story for the horse-race media, but not something that would keep up as the GOP was purified....Republicans seem to have figured this out. It's increasingly likely that no incumbent Republican will lose a primary to a Tea Partier in 2012.

Resurrected? Meaning that they were once irrelevant? I thought this formerly all-powerful movement was solely responsible for the US credit downgrade?

Not only that but liberals have been saying that the Tea Party IS the Republican Party, just more radical and crazier. Now you're saying they're a separate movement that's been detrimental to the GOP?

Can you libs make up your minds about what you think the Tea Party really is?

They are, and that's why the majority of Americans don't like them.

And to answer the question: No.

So if they're truly irrelevant then why does the mainstream media keep having to remind us that they're irrelevant? True irrelevance would mean absence from the discussion altogether.

LOL... I needed a good laugh. Thanks

If by this statement you mean Obama getting reelected, you are right. The only real thing Democrats have going for them this year is the Tea Party.

It becomes apparent that libruls, as a sect, don't know or understand what the Tea Party is, other than a scapegoat to vent their frustrations.

As far as resurrecting... no need. Those who participate with the Tea Party goals are not full time politicians. They're moms and pops with self fulfilling lives. They don't spend their every day consumed with taunting libruls. They voice their opinion when necessary and vote accordingly. Then they get back to their usual lives and families.

Though that actually is the taunt. And a quite successful one at that.

I keep wondering about this and along comes MSNBC and Mother Jones trying to make us believe that the Tea Party is dead. I do wish somebody would tell those MSM outlets that the Tea Party is dead. I did notice that a lot of eastern cities were mentioned in the video as places where the Tea Party is losing ground. I didn't even know they had won any ground in those places.
